At Homewood we grow many of the flowering annuals we sell! Hundreds of plants are available in spring including the latest and greatest from the world of horticulture. In fall, we have loads of pansies, ornamental cabbages, Fall Magic, and garden mums to color your fall and winter landcape.
You'll find all of the popular shrubs like azaleas, camellias, gardenias, and hollies at Homewood. We have a fantastic selection of shrubs for many uses around the home and garden, and we are known for our variety of interesting collector plants for those seeking something different. Need suggestions for foundation shrubs or screening? We can help you find the right plant for your landscape.

We also offer many tree varieties including flowering trees, shade trees, Japanese maples, and evergreen trees like 'Green Giant' western red cedar and Southern magnolia.
Homewood gets fresh shipments of tropicals and houseplants year round and we grow our own, too! Seasonally, we have a nice selection of indoor bloomers, as well, including begonias, kalanchoes, primroses, cyclamen, African violets, and orchids.

Homewood has carries a wide selection of perennial plants for both sun and shade, some of them proudly grown here at the nursery. We also carry a great selection of groundcovers and vines for both sun and shade.
Grow your own fresh, delicious veggies! Kids who participate in growing vegetables are more likely to eat them and there's nothing like a juicy, fresh tomato from the garden. Homewood carries a great selection of vegetables in spring and early summer including peppers, squash, zucchini, okra, cucumbers, eggplant, and, of course, tomatoes. We have the advantage of our own greenhouses, so, every year, we select specialty, hard-to-find varieties suited for our area that we start from seed and grow in order to offer them to our customers.

In season out in our Nursery Department, you'll find blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry bushes, muscadine and scuppernong grape vines, persimmon, fig, and pomegranates. Homewood is committed to carrying only those fruits that are suited to our climate and will do well here without a ton of spraying.
Homewood offers a fantastic selection of hybrid tea, floribunda, groundcover, shrub, Drift Series, Knock Out Series, and miniature roses, many of which are grown on site. Click the purple button above to find about which Homewood-grown roses should be available for purchase mid-March 2014.
Homewood has an incredible assortment of locally-grown Camellias. Click to see a list of Camellias that are currently available or on-order.
Homewood is famous for its huge holiday crop of lush and beautiful poinsettias. We grow over 30,000 poinsettias for the holidays and every year we feature new varieties in our greenhouses. Many of our customers visit us each year to enjoy the sea of color in our greenhouses and to take family holiday photos at any of our great photo opportunities that we set up throughout the greenhouses. From November to early December, you can also stop by our Poinsettia Trial Vote to vote for your favorite new or notable varieties. The results of this vote goes out to the entire floriculture industry!

From tiny little Toy Soldier poinsettias in 2 inch pots to our huge floor plants suitable for large rooms and gathering places, you'll find a colors and sizes to add festive beauty to your home this Christmas!
